Stent in esophagus?

Hi
Does anyone in this forum have experiences with having a stent installed in esophagus?

My case is that I´ve had a tumor removed from e. in 2019, and afterwards a stenosis developed right under the position of the removed tumor. Now, the cancer seems to have come back and the stenosis has narrowed in. Since I cannot endure any of the 3 standard treatments, my only option is to heal myself from cancer. But right now doctors recommend me having a stent placed to help me getting food, which is now very difficult.
Having read a lot about stents, the dominating facts are about the lot of complications a stent can give. It may hurt, squeak, move away form original position, food can get stuck in the net etc. etc.

So, anyone who has uplifting, cheerful stories to tell about stents in esophagus?

I didn't have a stent anywhere, but I did have a tumor that was pressing on my throat and vena cava just above the stomach and made swallowing food difficult. I would have to chew food to an almost liquid consistency to get it by. This went on for a few years. That tumor was the last one to go, and it hung around a long time. Not sure if this is relevant to your situation, but I would avoid a stent if at all possible. Perhaps you can get by until the tumor begins to shrink.

Hi Rod
I honestly thank you for your encouraging thoughts here. I need that!

I tried to screw it up, Steffen, but somehow I made it through. I did a couple of other things that I know improved my chances that aren't a part of the protocol. This group is about the protocol and I don't want to distract from that as I know it is effective if you can deal with the diet restrictions, but if you are curious shoot me a personal.

My cancer was nsclc, but I still think there are parallels across the board.

Ok, but how does one 'shoot a personal' from this forum?
