Has anyone tried or succeeded in integrating a WiiM streamer?

I have a few PRO versions out there.  No control options that I have found, other then the app.  The app is clean and works well with iPhone.  I've put them into legacy systems as replacements for Escient and legacy music servers.  Definitely a good option vs Sonos for $ and operation.  Had a client install as option for guest to Airplay/Cast into there systems.

The rumor is they are coming out with an updated API and a module that will work with the Media Player App

The WIim Pro has an https api that is very limited but has some utility.  Using @TroyGarner's https utility, I was able to get some control of the device.  @JoeWhitaker, who now works at Origin, did confirm that a reworked api is in the works that is more suitable for the custom integrator.
