FT8CN

Anyone got an FT857D working with FT8CN using the CAT port.

I've got the decoding working fine and can get TX going but there is no power out. Ive followed the FT8CN instructions. I think it may be an audio in issue, ALC perhaps?

I only get one USB port opening in FT8CN when I start it.

If you have it working then your settings on the FT857D and in FT8CN would be great.

I have my Signalink connected to the audio port.  The CAT connector has no audio.  I use the Signalink and the CAT port to connect to a Raspberry Pi and all works well including WINLINK

I believe you have to change one or two menu settings to get audio out of the CAT port.

Thanks.
I might just use it with the audio going between the radio and phone using the speakers and mics. I thought there might be an easy single cable way but seems not.

Just in case it is helpful the FT-857D has undocumented Cat control access through the microphone port. There are after market and home brew adapters that make using it more convenient by avoiding any need to unplug the microphone in order to use the microphone cat connection.

I use a US Navigator by Timewave.com   Build my own set of cable to FT-857.   Works as a charm; CAT, Audio Codec, CW Winkeyer, etal
