ISO volunteer opportunity for Christmas week #volunteeropportunity #iso

 

Hi Neighbors,
 
I have no plans for Christmas. So rather than sit at home and feel bad that I have no where to go for Xmas dinner - it's okay because I don't "celebrate" the holiday - I would rather like to spend the time helping others.
Anyone know of a soup kitchen or volunteer opportunity between now and New Years that needs volunteers? 
 
Any leads would be helpful.

We are setting up an apartment for an Afghan family of 4 on Friday 12/27 in Beltsville, MD and need up to 9 volunteers.

We work to end chronic homelessness in Washington, DC.  We advocate for permanent supportive housing as a long-term solution, while meeting short-term needs by providing healthy meals and high-quality social services to the chronically homeless. Our volunteers help to make our programs possible and we're so grateful for your support.
