Crestron and power sensing....

The long answer is, there are several ways the control system can ascertain the on/off status of equipment, including: current-sensing A/V signal-sensing "state-tracking" logic Some components may also have "discrete" infrared power codes available, and still others are able to be controlled (and polled) via RS232 serial interfaces. So, basically, there is a solution available, but the method used will be determined by your particular components and how (who) you plan to use them.
