Planar VC9 module/commands #crestron #planar #programming

 

Looking for information on controlling a VC9 via ethernet.

Power on/of, recalling 12 presets. Can't find anything with my google fu, on app market, or Planar's site.

Has anyone else worked with these?
 

Yes, you're looking for the "Leyard RPS and Video Controller RS232 User Manual", which also covers IP control.  I think you'll have to ask Planar tech support for it, unfortunately (why do companies still do that in 2020??)  Note that the power supply (RPS) is actually the brains of the operation, the VC4s/VC9s are controlled by it.

Late to this party, but did you end up getting anything written for the VC-9.  We have a VC4 that we are getting ready to do, and would rather not start from scratch.  It seems RS232 over IP is the way to go, but no Crestron "application" available for it.  Any help would be appreciated.
