Can't get DFU to work
I had a similar tough time with this today, so here's what I did - 1) all the firmware upgrade steps in Absolute Beginners Guide ver. 1.5 - downloaded both STM files and installed 2) confirmed STM Vir

No, 12k is IF used in measure. So not possible measure on this frequency or it harmonics PS in H4 possible change IF in config-expert settings menu

Dead NanoVNA-H4 troubleshooting?
Thanks, I did some more checks: power supplies on the pins of the various devices were ok, clocks were also present (except the 32 kHz, I guess it's used maybe only for the RTC during power down?) but

Dead NanoVNA-H4 troubleshooting?
If DFU works the STM32 microcontroller is working (VDD and clock). Check also the internal supply voltages +5V (U3 / pin 1) and AVDD (U10 / pin 5) - expect 3.3 V. Check the output of the 26 MHz TCXO Y

Dead NanoVNA-H4 troubleshooting?
Hi Tom; You might try reflashing the firmware and also the bootloader. Both may have been corrupted when the battery died, and it sounds like the bootloader MB ay still be.

Dead NanoVNA-H4 troubleshooting?
Hello, I have a NanoVNA-H4, since 1 year, that worked fine until yesterday: I left it running overnight and this morning I found it with the screen frozen and unresponsive. Cycling power it now shows

NanoVNA H3 reboots at random intervals
I didn't see this topic after a brief search, so here goes. My NanoVNA H3 (ver. 3.3) randomly reboots for no apparent reason, and it won't save configs. It's even happened when in DFU mode, fortunatel

A word of thanks to those out there who gave me some support upgrading my firmware..
RE: My firmware update Windows 10 --> NanaVNA H4 I got it done today. The biggest problem was getting familiar with the terminology. He'll, I wasn't even aware that DFU meant Device Firmware Update (d

H will callibrate okay(?) but won't plot anything
Have been using my nanoVNA-H to tune my antennas for the lower bands in ham radio for over a year. It has been a lifesaver! I started to use it recently and it seemed to complete the calibration proce

Is there a known ch0 input protection mod?
Yea I kept looking at the data sheet thinking, those dimensions can't be right! As much as wanted to order some to protect my equipment, I quickly realized that it would take a pick-n-place machine to

As a reality check for those whose soldering skills might not have kept up to this task (mine for example): The Infineon two terminal part is about the size of Thomas Jefferson’s eyeball on a 2020 nic

Is there a known ch0 input protection mod?
Definitely not TVS because it can prevent RF overdrive according to the datasheet's "Power output vs. power input" graph. Diode based RF limiters utilize PIN diodes in order to minimize distortion. Th

Is there a known ch0 input protection mod?
All of my antennas have a static discharge at the feed point. I would recommend them. AD5X has a couple of excellent articles on the subject: <http://www.ad5x.com/images/Articles/Static%20Bleed.pdf> <

Is there a known ch0 input protection mod?
Of course depending on weather conditions and type of antenna, an antenna can quickly rebuild a static charge after you remove the ground. 73 -Jim NU0C "Michael" <michael@...> wrote:

Is there a known ch0 input protection mod?
Yep. "Not recommended for new designs" generally means future production and availability is questionable, not that there is any problem with the part's specs or performance.

Is there a known ch0 input protection mod?
Yes, grounding the antenna to discharge static before making measurements is essential, but a protection network will provide insurance against accidents and errors that can easily occur to the most m
