USB isolator suggestions?
That adafruit.com isolator appears to only support USB 1.0 speeds.

SWR and Return Loss graph of an EFHW wire with 49 to 1 UNUN
re: Field strength meters. It just occurred to me that for some antennas - tuning around on a tuner for maximum signal on a field strength meter *could* have in effect been adjusting for maximum *comm

here is the graph I am trying to interpret
The shield side of the feed isn't "open" on an EFHW, it's connected to the ground side of the auto-transformer primary. So the coax shield becomes the counterpoise if there isn't a counterpoise wire.

[tinysa] Hobbyist antenna field mapping?
I agree Clyde. Not all of us can just "read the book." I had a terrible time digesting some textbooks. I had several college classes where the books were written in a way that almost seemed to assume

#114 : [ANN] : Remarks on the Uncertainty Notions -from Lab VNA to Toy NanoVNA-
*Segal's law* is an adage that states: A man with a watch knows what time it is. A man with two watches is never sure. It seems to apply equally to VNAs. The more you have, the less certain you can be

comparing four 40 meter antennas
I wonder whether all the radiation from that Hustler whip is coming from the antenna itself, since it is inherently kind of unbalanced with the shortened whip and longer radial. It seems like many of

How do you measure a car antenna?
Most of the biggest stations on the AM broadcast band around here are also simulcasting on the FM band and internet streaming now. They probably saw the trend happening in car radios before I did. It

I think PDF is a more "friendly" exchange format for "formatted text" documents, as many web browsers can now display them natively (without *any* additional installed software packages) - independent

Two Beginner's Questions
Clyde, this should probably be a separate forum thread, but I wonder if something like a tuned cavity type narrow bandpass filter inserted in the antenna feedline would work for your application at 2

THE LOWEST OF LOWS FOR MS
#applications
MS is inching toward more openness while sometimes changing things that didn't "need" changing IMO (like the Start menu). One cool feature I've read about in Win11 (I don't have it yet) is the ability

How To Do A SWR Sweep on 2 Meter HT Antenna ?
That Diamond SR320A antenna made my TH-F6A deafer than a doorknob. Got a much cheaper no-name ($10) dual-band 15" flexi-duck antenna, and when I compared them side by side it beat the Diamond at all f

How To Do A SWR Sweep on 2 Meter HT Antenna ?
I direct connected my HT whip to the VNA when tuning some "Tiger tail" ground radials for my HT antenna. The antenna was a dual-band whip about 15" long, and I swept it attached to nanoVNA-F which has

Measuring 49:1 ferrite transformers
Very nice writeup Gary! I may have missed it, but curious about how using two FT240 cores stacked will behave vs total turns. I built one of these transformers with two FT240 type 43 cores stacked, wi

I think the NanoVNA-F V2 is from Sysjoint vs Deepelec. The two companies apparently have some dispute going, as I believe Deepelec developer used to work at Sysjoint. I don't see many firmware release

I think FairRite makes toroid choke kits that comes with enameled wire and Teflon tubing that slips over it. Not much more expensive than the bare toroid.
