Липкий NOTICE - TO CONTEST SPONSORS, identify inactive/obsolete contests 2
As evidenced by yesterday's discussion of the SPAR Winter Field Day contest, there are contests in our Supported Contests List that are obsolete/inactive and should be de-listed from the Entry Window's >File >New Log in Database - contest choices. By coincidence, in recent weeks the N1MM DevTeam has been working with Bruce WA7BNM regarding a direct interface between his Contest Calendar website and N1MM. As part of that effort we have identified 51 contests that appear to be obsolete/inactive. In this week's Latest Update release we will begin trimming the menu selection list by removing contests that are tagged as obsolete/inactive. The list of those 51 proposed obsolete contests can be found in the website's >Downloads >Program Files >Experimental Versions gallery. If your contest is listed but is still an active contest, please contact the Dev Team to get your contest reinstated on the list. https://n1mmwp.hamdocs.com/mmfiles/categories/programexperimental/ NOTE: This list does not includes User Defined Contests (UDCs) and QSO Parties. We'll be looking at those in the future, also. -larry K8UT

Липкий N1MMLoggerPlus group guidelines
Welcome to the N1MMLoggerPlus user group at groups.io . The purpose of this group is to serve as the main support channel and discussion group for the N1MM Logger+ amateur radio contest logging program. N1MM Logger+ (aka N1MM+) is free contesting software that supports virtually all amateur radio contests. If a contest is not supported now, it can usually be added using the Logger's "user-defined contest" feature. N1MM+ is not a general-purpose logger; there is no support for chasing awards like DXCC and WAS, and there are no QSL management features. For those functions, you should be using a general logging program. You can export contest logs from N1MM+ in ADIF format and import them into almost any general logging program for tracking awards and generating QSLs. You need to join the group in order to post messages. The first posting from a new user must be approved by the moderators. Include your callsign in requests to join. Be proud of your callsign and put it in every post. Don't spam. This is not a list for posting items for sale, for announcing contests or events, for discussing amateur politics or for other off topic posts. It is also not the place for personal attacks. Repeated or egregious violations will result in loss of posting privileges. If the volume of email from the group is too much, you can set your delivery to digests or no email, by signing in to the groups.io web site and selecting "Your Groups > Manage My Subscriptions". You can also change your account preferences by clicking on your account name at the top right. You can change your email address or add an email alias address from the same place. You can view messages on the web site either in chronological order or by topic. Attachments are not conveyed in messages, but the web site also has a Files area to which files and screen shots may be uploaded. Try to make the subject line of your postings meaningful and descriptive. If you are starting a new topic, don't post it as a follow-up to a different thread; start a new thread with a title appropriate to the new topic. Titles such as "N1MM+" or "Bug report" do not make the grade; they give the reader inadequate indication of the contents, and they result in discussions on different topics being combined into a single thread. When reporting a problem with N1MM+, make sure that you can reproduce it using the current (latest) version of the program. We don't support any but the latest version. Please be specific when describing a problem. Be sure to indicate the mode (CW, SSB, RTTY, etc.), the method you use for interfacing (keying interface, sound card interface, etc.), the contest, the radio type and how it is connected to the computer, and information about your computer and its operating system. If there is an error message, quote its contents; just saying you got an error message without any other identifying information is not likely to get you a helpful response. If you are using port sharing software (LP-Bridge, VSPE, etc.), try to reproduce the problem without it first. We don't support port sharing software, but you are welcome to ask the group for advice about using it with N1MM+. Read all the posts in a topic before posting a response. If a post already says what you were going to say, don't clutter up the list with a "me too" post. When posting a response, it is a good idea to include just enough of the previous discussion to identify the context, and no more. There is no need to quote the entire past history of the thread in every response. After posting a problem, check back for responses. It is rude to post a problem then disappear. Likewise, please do not ask for off-list responses. If your post was important enough to ask 3,500 people to read it, you owe it to them to let them see the responses. If the responses solve your problem, let the group know how your problem was solved; that may help someone else down the road. Please do not think of this group as only a place for you to get answers to your problems, but also as a place where you can help others with their problems. If someone else has a problem hat you know how to fix, feel free to respond and provide the solution. The success of the group depends on more than just responses from the N1MM development team. However, when you do not know the answer, don't waste everybody's time with meaningless responses like "gee, that's a tough one. I have no idea." Above all, think before posting. You are going before 3,500 people with your posting. If you want help, demonstrate your willingness to do your part of the work. Be polite. 73, The N1MM Logger+ Development Team

Mults & Qs window 5
I have noticed that the Mults & Qs window does not refresh until you select Show DX. It does drop off existing spots after a while but no new spots show until you select Show DX. Is there a way to have this window refresh automatically after a specified time that can be selected?

Bookmarks disappeared from the PDF version of the documentation sometime between March and December of 2024
I just noticed that the Table of Contents bookmarks that back in March were present in the N1MM PDF documentation have disappeared in the latest build. I have several PDF viewers that exhibit this but I am giving examples using the industry-standard, Adobe (my very least favorite): The first screenshot is the current PDF of the docs as of 28 Nov 2024. The Bookmarks pane is empty. In the second screenshot of the docs dated 18 March 2024, the entire Table of Contents is present, scrollable independently of the left pane, and fully clickable. The N1MM PDF is currently over 600 pages. This Table of Contents feature makes it MUCH easier for me to navigate the PDF and I use the PDF a lot because I am frequently offline when reading it. It feels like there was a toolchain change sometime after March 2024. Is it possible to restore the Table of Contents bookmarks? Thank you for your consideration and a great product in N1MM. Error on startup - argument out of range 2
Logger throws the following error on startup after update to latest version. Error was not there in previous version. Appears to be a port issue. however, all ports look correct in Device Manager. Closing error results in normal startup, and Logger appears to function correctly thereafter. QO-100 Contest with N1MM 3
Hi I am using N1MM, SDR Console, RTL Dongle and an FT991 for TX IF plus Logger 32 with N1MM - Bridge to enable the logging to Logger 32. I have all working together OK, except for the logging of the TX frequency in Logger 32. The RX frequency i.e 10489.550 is logged in both RX and TX, where as the TX frequency should be 2400.050. Is there a way to set this offset in N1MM, or if not, could this be added? I can change the TX frequency of course by editing the QSO in the Log window!! Hope this makes sense. 73 Ian G4GIR

UDC and using call sign prefix rule 12
As it is now I'm considering to make an UDC file for a small contest we have in Sweden, and there's a specific rule in that contest that seems to be hard to fulfill. All call signs contacted shall get 1 point except for contacts with call signs where the prefix is "SL" where 5 points shall be awarded. PointsPerContact seems to only consider main country prefix and not the specific call sign range. Anyone else that have figured out a way around this?

Stream Deck help 53
I bought a 15 button Stream Deck hoping to use it with N1MM. Without doing any research beforehand, I naively imagined that once I had the SD device connected, drivers and application installed, that I could simply program buttons on it to emulate key presses and that N1MM would see these as if they were coming from a USB keyboard. I have the Stream Deck app installed and working. I can program keys with actions. I have taught it to do simple tricks like type a few characters or press a key and I see them work in simple programs like Notepad. However, N1MM had no awareness of the SD at that point. For now, all I would like to do is a few basic things like turning Ctrl and Alt functions into single button presses. Things like Alt-P, Alt-Q, Ctrl-down, Ctrl-up, etc. I dug through the message archive and found some mentions of the SD device. I also read a message from Max N5NHJ (I8NHJ) discussing Command Sender. I downloaded and installed the Command Sender plug-in (into the Stream Deck app) . Just to see if I could get any kind of response at all, I took his example string and replaced the F keys with {Alt}{P} N1MM did see my nonsense and gave me an error message about not being able to send CW because I didn't have a CW device set in the configuration (I'm just experimenting on my laptop right now and don't have a Winkeyer connected). I guess that Command Sender is working correctly and sending button presses from the SD over to N1MM as UDP info (even if what I sent was nonsense). I was hoping this would be simpler and that I wouldn't have to learn XML to do this. I did look over the section of the N1MM manual labeled XML Schema and Message Field Lists starting on page 745 but nothing there looked like what I want to do. I saw nothing that looked like keyboard actions or key presses. I'm hoping there is something simpler but I may have waded into the deep end of the pool here and maybe this is more complex than I imagined. Thanks, Bob KE2D

n1mm how to automatically store contact in band map after logging them store contact in band map after logging them 6
Does anyone know if there is a setting to enable automatically store contact in band map after logging them? Google says.. but I am not finding that feature AI Overview To automatically store contacts in the N1MM band map after logging them, you need to enable the "Auto-Plot" feature within the N1MM Logger software settings; this will automatically place a marker on the band map whenever you log a new contact, displaying their location on the map in real-time. How to enable Auto-Plot in N1MM: Open N1MM Logger: Launch the N1MM software and navigate to the main logging window. Access Settings: Go to the "File" menu at the top and select "Settings." Navigate to Map Tab: Within the Settings window, click on the "Map" tab. Enable Auto-Plot: Find the checkbox labeled "Auto-Plot" and tick it to activate the feature. Computer Keyboard overlay 24
I'd like to get an overlay I could use to help me remember what keys do what. I'm not an avid contester and the memory doesn't always carry forward from one contest to another. There must be one out there but I haven't found it. Rick, W2JAZ -- 73 Rick, W2JAZ

UDC Not Showing in New Contest Drop Down 14
Good morning. I just downloaded the UDC file for the K1USN SST. I am trying to set up a log for today's SST. However, I don't see the contest in the list when I try to open a "New Contest in Log." I verified the UDC file is in the .\My Documents\N1MM Logger+\UserDefinedContests directory. Per the documentation on setting up a UDC, I opened the UDC file in Notepad and verified the "Name =" value on/about line 10 matches the name of the UDC file. I am running N1MM Logger+ v1.0.9384 on a Win10 20H2 system. What else could I be missing? Merry Christmas to all! Thanks and 73, Ian, NV4C

SO2V/SO2R, UDC's, and no mults 9
In the past year several have asked here about contests with UDC's in SO2V/SO2R mode not counting any mults. This happens in particular with the Monday MST and Thursday WRT. It is very reproducible: start N1MM with a MST log in SO1V mode. Log a couple Q's. Each counts as a Q and a mult. Now go into Config and change to SO2V mode. Log a couple more Q's with new callsigns. None of the new ones count as a mult. Switch back to SO1V. New calls count as a mult. Did we reach a resolution for this? The workaround I've found is to do the event SO2V, work dozens of guys but get no mults and zero score, then after the end switch to SO1V and hit "Rescore Current Contest" to get correct score. Mult list 2
I know if it was a "UDC" I could make up a Mult list for a contest. But this is for the DX Expdition logger "Contest" Most plan on using in the World Wide Award Starting up on January the 1st. Or could an experimental version be made? So far there are 70 teams signed up. I'd like a way to keep track of what teams I have worked and on what of the three modes. CW, PH, DG. The mults way would be awesome. The program counts them as a "Mult" but the mults have a factor of 1 so they don't effect scores or anything. Just trying to find a way to be able to keep track easily what team I have worked already or still need. OR a existing UDC. that fits the needs of this WWA event. And can have the teams added as mults with zero powers . Joe WB9SBD

FTDX101D and N1MM with MMTY 6
Group - Am I finding some kind of conflict with N1MM and MMTY with my FTDX101? I have MMTY working by itself pefectly. I, also, have N1MM working with CW But for the current RTTY contest nothing I do in N1MM will key the rig or send RTTY. The MMTY window comes up and the program shows the frequency from the rig so that part of CAT is working. I have tried to turn the presets on and off and tried several other combinations to no avail. Any suggestions?
