ADOPTED - HASSINI - F5 - HUDSON, NY
HASSINI - F5 - HUDSON, NY DUE TO MISLEADING COMMUNICATION BY THE SHELTER DIRECTOR, HASSINI WAS ADOPTED OUT BY THE SHELTER. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THEY WISHED TO WASTE OUR TIME AND YOURS, INSTEAD OF TAKING THE PROFFERED OPTION OF SENDING APPLICANTS DIRECTLY TO THEM. SOME GREAT HOMES WERE MISSED. Hassini is a dream come true for some lucky family! He is still a kitten, just 7 months old and was surrendered to a shelter in New York State for no other reason than the owner's allergies making it impossible to keep him. Hassini is at another shelter, who is trusting us to vet potential homes and send the lucky adopter to them. They are asking a $500 adoption fee, and he will be available in a week after he is neutered by them. Hassini is said to be curious, friendly and outgoing. He has only been living with adults but has had child visitors (8 & 12 YO) and was reported to play gently. He was not living with any cats, but a dog that he played happily with. Hassini is young enough that we would consider him highly adaptable with the appropriate introductions. He was used to a raw diet but has been on shelter food without issue. He was reported to be very playful as a kitten should be, and perfect with the litterbox. If you think that Hassini would be perfect for your home, please email us at info@... and tell us why. You would need to be able to drive to Hudson, NY to pick him up. The shelter is not going to handle shipping nor transporters. They have asked for a $500 adoption fee.

Persephone is once again looking for a forever home. She originally came into our rescue a year ago. She had been abandoned by the owner. FOSTERED - CHARLOTTE & SUNSHINE - F6&7 - PICAYUNE, MS
FOSTERED - CHARLOTTE & SUNSHINE - F6&7 - PICAYUNE, MS WHEN THE CHOSEN FOSTER HOME GOT TO THE SHELTER WE DISCOVERED THAT THE GIRLS HAD A BONDED MALE BENGAL COMPANION. HE WAS BROUGHT TO TN WITH THE GIRLS WHERE THEY ARE BEING FOSTERED. MIKE THE BENGAL HAS A DENTAL TO UNDERGO BEFORE WE MIGHT CONSIDER THEM ADOPTABLE AS A TRIO. Charlotte and Sunshine are currently terrified under a cat bed in a cage in a shelter. Poor babies just don't understand. They were surrendered by an owner going through a divorce. They are 5 years old, F6 and F7 generation, and vaccinated, spayed and microchipped and ready to be picked up asap to the right home. The shelter will not adopt to you if contacted, they want us to choose the home. The breeder of both cats is Angie Rimmer of EastTN Savannahs. She has been contacted by both the shelter previously and us directly today. She has no intentions of helping the cats, saying she is overcrowded with the cats she has already. We do not know much about Charlotte & Sunshine, we know that they lived with a number of other cats. I do not know about dogs or children, but I would think with proper introductions they would be fine. They are accustomed to a raw diet, the shelter is concerned that they are not interested in kibble so a new home should be prepared to feed a suitable diet initially, even if they work on transitioning to a canned diet (if not happy feeding raw). The shelter wants us to determine the right home, so please don't contact them asking about them. If you are located within reach of Picayune, MS and would like to offer these two girls a home (or even a foster home although we would prioritize a permanent option), please contact us at info@.... Their joint adoption fee would be $200 paid to the shelter.

F1 SPAYED FEMALE - 7 YEARS OLD - VENTURA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Lola is a beautiful spayed F1. Experience with early generation Savannahs preferred. Lola did not work out at her recent home due to the presence of two other cats... She lived most of her life as a cattery cat and will need time and patience to learn life as a pet. She is said to get along with dogs, but does not get along with other cats. Lola is more comfortable around females, since her former owner, now deceased, was a female. She has not been around children, so a home with children cannot be considered. As a former cattery cat, Lola is not very social, which is why someone with early generation experience is much preferred. She will need a room to herself for quite a while (months - could be a year) and very slow introductions to a dog or other humans. NO CATS - Lola does not like other cats. Lola has good litterbox habits and eats well. A home with a catio is a plus for a girl like Lola... She may come around sooner than months to years, but we don't know. We really need someone who is willing to give her as much time as it takes and to be very patient and understanding of this girl who has to learn how to be a pet. If you can give Lola a great home with lots of love, time and patience, please email info@... - please tell us about your home, family and circumstance. EMAILS WITHOUT THE INFO WE REQUEST WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. Adoption Fee - $200

ADOPTED -F5 Silver male - Celebration, Florida
ADOPTED - F5 Silver male - Celebration, Florida Walther is a 5 year old F5 male in search of a new home. Walther is a bit shy with people when he first meets them but when he warms up he is quite lovey! Walther is currently living with 3 other cats and his rough play is causing an issue. One of the cats is ok with his rough play but the other 2 do not like it. The current owner has tried medication and pheromone spray but neither was a long term solution. Some spite spraying started when one of the other cats started marking. This issue was resolved with more boxes in the space where he was marking. Walther is front paw declawed. The perfect home for Walther is a patient family. He is a shy cat and needs to learn he's safe. He currently has a large doggy stroller that he likes to use as a safe space when he is nervous, he needs his hidey spots on occasion. He is very vocal and has an adorable "where are you mama?" cry. He loves to walk on the cat wheel and loves his morning routine of checking for lizards in the bathroom window - he sits at the door and watches you until you let him in. He has not been around children or dogs but may do well with one very laid back cat. Local pickup only. Adoption fee is $200. If you think you think Walther would be a good fit for your home, please reply via email to us at info@... with information on how your home meets his needs.

AVAILABLE - AMIRAH - ESTIMATED F3 - WINTHROP, ME
AVAILABLE - AMIRAH - ESTIMATED F3 - WINTHROP, ME Amirah is a spayed 11 year old Savannah female surrendered to a shelter in Winthrop, Maine. Although Maine limits Savannahs to F4 and onwards, she was surrendered with pyometra (a life-threatening uterine infection common in unspayed female cats) and we suspect she was in a breeding program for those years and we also believe she is earlier generation. At least F3 but possibly even F2. She is tall and lean but still only 10lbs, surprising the vet who anticipated more from her perceived size, so typical of Savannahs. She is taller and longer than most the cats at the shelter. Amirah has taken a few days each time to get used to staff at the shelter, but has warmed and is affectionate to many of the staff after that introductory period. She does NOT like other cats, which from experience we know is common to female cats that have had litters. They become dominant and aggressive to other cats with a litter to protect, and this behavior seems to linger. Our feeling is that Amirah would be ideal in an only cat household, but potentially could accept a docile male kitty companion with a lengthy patient introduction. Please don't contact the shelter directly, they prefer to adopt Amirah via our rescue group. This is a cat only shelter so they do not know how she is with dogs. Amirah has been sensitive and reacts quickly with slaps when overstimulated and does have her claws, hence we would not consider a home with young children (under 9 years of age). She is picky about who she likes, if she likes you then you can pick her up (she does not like to be held), if she isn't so keen on you then you can pet her a couple times but more and she will slap you according to the shelter. She is a talkative cat, I am guessing she has a lot of complaints being at a shelter! Amirah has been spayed, she has a microchip which will be transferred, and has had recent bloodwork and fecal testing which gives her a clean bill of health. her adoption fee will be $200 payable to the shelter directly. Please email us at info@... with details of your location and a description of your household and why it would suit Amirah. Please be aware of the legality of Savannahs in your location. The state of Maine and many surrounding states limit to F4 and further, hence Amirah will need to take a road trip further afield to a new home.

ADOPTED - NOLAN - F7 - WHITE PLAINS, NY
ADOPTED - NOLAN - F7 - WHITE PLAINS, NY NOLAN IS NOW HAPPILY SETTLING INTO HIS NEW HOME! This case hurts a little, it seems that Nolan is an absolutely wonderful 6 year old SBT Savannah neutered male. His family love him, he's friendly and playful and obsessed with his cat wheel. The problem? Their toddler is very allergic and over the past year they have failed to adequately control the skin reactions. Nolan loves to snuggle up with his humans and he is great with the children. He did bully their female cat when she was with them, it may be that a more resilient kitty or a male cat would be fine. He has not lived with dogs. The surrendering owner would like him to go with his Ziggydoo wheel as he is very fond of it. He is also used to a screened porch, so it would be nice if his new home had that also. Nolan's adoption fee will be $200, if you feel your home would be great for Nolan please email us at info@... and tell us about your household. He would need to be picked up with his wheel in person at White Plains, NY.

ADOPTED - ACHILLES - F3 - WESTMINSTER, MD
ADOPTED - ACHILLES - F3 - WESTMINSTER, MD THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT OFFERS, ACHILLES HAS GONE TO HIS NEW HOME NOW! Achilles is a personable, friendly 2.5 year old F3 neutered male Savannah, located Westminster, MD. Achilles is being surrendered for spraying behavior, but we feel that there is clear reason why and that it ought to be quite resolvable. He does use the litterbox most of the time. The main issue likely is his contentious relationship with the household's medium sized dog, a Shiba Inu. Mostly love on the dog side and hate on Achille's side. The play can be rough and from video's it often is not a positive interaction. It is most likely that the spraying behavior is due to this stress and negative relationship. Additionally, the locations have been on carpet, and cleanup is more difficult (we have suggestions). Achilles loves to play with wand toys, puzzle feeder toys, catnip shapes and balls occasionally, and has been leash-trained to enjoy walks outside. He has not lived with other cats, but he is young enough that a slow and thoughtful introduction should work. I cannot say how he would react to another dog, one that isn't so interactive and maybe more docile. If you are interested in offering Achilles a home, his adoption fee will be $200. Please email us at info@... with your location, a description of your household and why you think he would be happy with you.

ADOPTED - BENJI - F3(ESTIMATED) - WAYNESBORO, PA
ADOPTED - BENJI - F3(ESTIMATED) - WAYNESBORO, PA BENJI HAS NOW GONE TO HIS NEW HOME, THANK YOU FOR ALL THE GREAT OFFERS!! Benji is a young male Savannah trapped and brought to the humane society, he was estimated to be ~2 years old and has now been neutered and vaccinated. As he had been outside for an indeterminate period, he has developed some aggression to other cats and so is by himself in a room for some weeks now. He has bonded to one employee during that time, so was obviously socialized as a kitten. Unfortunately, that's about all we know about him! We think that the ideal home would be an only cat home. It is possible that outside of the stressful shelter environment, and given time and patient introductions he might be able to accept one or two kitty companions, but we simply don't know. We also don't know if he would be okay with dogs, or small children. Please don't ask us to ship Benji, he is currently in a shelter so this is not possible. I also do not know that he would be manageable enough to put in an airline approved carrier to be carried in cabin on a plane, so our strong preference is a home that can drive to the humane society to pick him up. Note that you cannot contact the humane society directly, they will not adopt to you, they want us to determine the home. Benji's adoption fee will be $200, it will be passed on to the humane society as donation. Please email us at info@... with details of why your home is great for Benji.

Michigan: Foster or foster to adopt home needed asap for F5 male Savannah
****Michigan: Kace is a gorgeous F5 Savannah in need of an immediate foster or foster to adopt home. Kace has recently experienced changes in his home life and deserves a peaceful forever home. One of the cats in the home bullies him and he's unhappy and depressed. He's gone through several traumatic moves and his current owner can no longer keep him. Kace is neutered and is approximately 12 years of age. He is front declawed. He has no dietary issues. We don't know how big he is or how much he weighs. Kace is said to prefer men of any age, and he's good with children over the age of 3 years old. He currently lives with a large dog he gets along well with. He's described as very sweet, playful and affectionate; he plays gently and loves to splash in water and go for walks outdoors on harness and leash. He's responded well to clicker training, too. His new home must be diligent about keeping chewable objects...including hair ties and rubber bands...out of the home or locked away. He also exhibits a long-standing tendency to urinate inappropriately outside the litter box at times. A new home should be willing to explore options to minimize or eliminate this behavior and we will offer advice on how to do so. If you are able to foster Kace and have a patient and stress-free home, please send a detailed email to us at: info@...

NEED IMMEDIATE FOSTER/ADOPTER - F1 FEMALE SPAYED SAVANNAH - ALMOST 5 YO - PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST - CUMBERLAND COUNTY, MAINE
Luna is a gorgeous F1 Savannah, seized in Maine because she is illegal there. Homes located in ME, NY, NH, VT, Etc., will NOT be considered, so PLEASE do not ask or email or message. Luna is said to be very attached to her owners and scared of others. She hisses quite a bit, which is normal for F1s and it is also normal for F1 Savannahs to be attached to only one or two people, so it will take quite a while for her to come around. Luna's balance is not the best, but she was checked by a vet and deemed ok. We PREFER early generation Savannah experience, meaning F1, F2, F3. Luna lived with an F5 Savannah, so one other cat may work, but she is terrified of all other animals and people. That could change with a lot of work, love and patience, but it could take months or even years. No small children please. If you have no early generation Savannah experience, please tell us how you would expect an upset, scared, anxious F1 to act as compared to a later generation Savannah. Luna will need someone with lots of patience, time, love to give. To be considered for Luna, please send an email to info@... - describe your home, family if any, experience with Savannahs and why you would make a great home for Luna. Please do not send an email without this info.

FOSTER NEEDED ASAP - F3 SILVER SPOTTED MALE - 9 YEARS YOUNG - SUSSEX COUNTY NJ - LONG PLEASE READ
Zeus is nine years old, 4 paw declawed and dumped in a shelter in NW NJ. Zeus was being abused by the owners' child, developed diarrhea and a URI likely from stress after being banished to the basement for two months, before being surrendered to a shelter. Zeus is said to be affectionate and loving by his owners, but they didn't want to deal with him anymore. He lived in the basement all alone without his F1 companion or any human interaction. The husband washed to euthanize him, but the wife chose to bring him to a shelter instead. Zeus is being treated by the shelter for his URI. They switched his food and he's doing much better, but is traumatized and depressed at finding himself in a strange place with strangers after nine years. He will need a loving, patient home that can help him recover both health wise and emotionally. He got along well with his F1 companion, so another cat would be fine. He has not lived with dogs. He was abused by a child, so older children may be ok. Zeus will stay at the shelter until at least Monday because of his URI, so we are wanting to find a home to foster when he is ready next week. If you are ready for a wonderful cat, who will give you affection and love in return for the same, please email info@... - he will need his own room to decompress and get used to new surroundings for a minimum of 2 weeks. Please tell us about yourself, home, family if any, and why you would make a good home for this wonderful boy, who deserves to live the rest of his life in comfort.
