Need help with 74LVC1G74 parameters
3
I need help setting up the 74LVC1g74 Flipflop parameters for 5V operation. From the 74LVC1G.lib file I get the following information: _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ * Delays have been adjusted for Vcc = 1V8/2V7/3V3/5V (LVC) using the test conditions stated in the * Nexperia data sheets, and generally achieve Tpd errors less than 10%. The actual VCC voltage needs * to be passed to each device as a parameter, either a fixed value, or a variable by placing: * * - VCC={VCC} Speed=1 Tripdt=100p * * in the Value field of the symbol, where {VCC} denotes that it is defined somewhere in the schematic. * * Temperature effects are currently not modelled. * * https://www.nexperia.com/products/analog-logic-ics/family/LVC/#/p=1,s=0,f=,c=,rpp=,fs=0,sc=,so=,es= ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Do I use Speed=1 for 5V operation? What do I use for Tripdt value? What does Tripdt=100p mean? Your help will be much appreciated. Thanks, Jim

Can LTspice show Cross Over distortion of a class B type amplifiers...
10
If I build a Class B amplifier (all have cross over distortion) What do I have to do, to see cross over in a trace... All I get is a perfect looking sign wave... What would be the analysis and steps to do this...?? Any thoughts on this would certainly be appreciated..... Thanks....

LTspice 24.1 Beta Available Now
55
LTspice 24.1 is beta is available now: https://LTspice.analog.com/download/24.1.0/LTspice64Beta.msi NOTE: As requested by some in this group and elsewhere, the installer installs two executables: LTspice 24.1 Beta and LTspice 24.0.12. There will be icons for both on your desktop. Both LTspice 24.0.12 and 24.1 can be used on the same machine, but don't use both on the same schematics at the same time. What’s New in LTspice 24.1 beta Improved performance and convergence Add .savestate and .loadstate simulator directives to save and restore the complete transient simulation condition Add .option debugtran to add report in log file to help identify convergence challenges Enhanced netlist syntax checking Add support for directory hierarchy for symbol search paths and schematic directory Add support for environment variables in Settings > Search Paths Add "All" symbol directories view in Place Component dialog Changed default integration method to Trapezoidal Remember waveform compression settings (under Settings > Compression) between LTspice invocations Always accept “3k4” notation as 3.4k (no longer optional) Allow device flags to be set to zero for ease of parameterization Updated FRA example fra_eg1 Updated Help documentation Bug fixes -- Michael Stokowski LTspice Team Analog Devices Inc.

Autotransformer deep questions!
30
Please see my recent upload, Autotransformer.zip I need some tutorials regarding autotransformer modelling! I was intrigued by Hassan's AC Stabilizer and tried to model TR1 The model differed from my expectations in several ways. 1: Why do the tap-to-tap voltages differ, with equal inductances? 2: Why is the separate 18V winding so different? 2a: Why is it more different when I separate the Kxxx directives? 3: Why do the outputs throw infinities with small or megohm loads, but not when 1G or open?? Looking for ideal fully differential amplifier spice model
30
Looking for ideal fully differential amplifier spice model for XSPICE simulations. The one I have based on the XSPICE "gain" code model doesn't have any CMRR or care if outputs are swapped. Anything based on dependent sources would be good. * XSPICE Fully Differential OpAmp .subckt opamp inp inn outp outn in_offset=0 gain=300e3 out_offset=0 aint %vd(inp inn) %vd(outp outn) amp .model amp gain (in_offset='in_offset' gain='gain' out_offset='out_offset') .ends opamp The SE output OpAmp using the same structure works fine...

File /Temp/Autotransformer.zip
Late night modelling certainly didn’t help! OK, replaced SQRT() with x**2 Tap-to-tap differences and voltages are slightly better. 18VAC winding is a bit worse, though. Still blows up with moderate loads. I don’t yet grok the directions of current flows; will simplify to one tapped winding and one separate. Thanks! Dave

Need Current Source with User selectable current and voltage compliance
6
Having issues making a current source with limited voltage compliance for an ideal charge pump in a PLL circuit. The methods of clamping the Source max Vc using a diode and voltage source or Zener diode create spikes which disrupt the loop. VCCS or 2 terminal G source would work.

Ferromagnetic core modeling.
27
Hello everybody, I have the need now to simulate ferromagnetic cores. I thought about it and don't recall info in the help file so, I asked google's Gemini AI "Proper method to model a ferromagnetic core with LTspice?". Gemini was kind enough to include a code example. * Define the material properties .model my_ferrite LAMINATION( + LOSSES=1 + DC_RES=1e-6 + THICKNESS=0.5m + STACKING=0.95 + H_C=100 + B_SAT=1 + MU_I=1000 ) * Create the inductor L1 1 0 1uH .model L1 INDUCTOR ( + L=1uH + IC=0 + A_L=1e-6 + R_SER=0.1 + Rg=1e6 + PARAM: Lr=1uH ) * Define the core material for the inductor .model L1_core my_ferrite * Excite the circuit (example using a voltage source) V1 1 0 SIN(0 1 60 0 0) * Simulate and analyze the results .tran 0 0.1 0 1u .end Would this be a good start to modeling ferromagnetic cores?

Confused, adding a pin to an existing Symbol and .cir
20
Attempting to modify an archive Pot component, to add a wired Pin instead of a hidden net name for control input. In order to use more than one pot in a circuit, the SUBCKT definition and instance parameters need to be modified for each pot placed. I’d like to add a pin, and change the SUBCKT definition to use that pin rather than a hidden net name. I’ve added a pin (4), removed the pin label “Vpct” and used V(4) to set the value of B1, but that’s not working. When Run, LTspice complains that the pin count of the instance doesn’t match the definition. The uploaded zip has a working model, with the separate embedded SUBBCKT definitions. How can I make the mod, to add a control pin and have one includable .cir ?? Thanks, Dave

Whither 4053_tercio.asy
14
The analog switch library "SwitchAna.Lib" makes reference to various symbols (e.g. "4053_tercio.asy") and phrases like "The model needs two params: Vcc & Vel see the circuit example..". Where might I find these? John

Separate from .CKT for .lib file
8
Hi I got a .CKT file and .lib file of photodiode and transimpedance amplifier. I know how to make spice model from these files. However, I want to separate transimpedance amplifier part from the .CKT file or .lib file. Is it possible to separate? The lib file has many raw data which are unknown to me.

OPA891 / OPA2891 Model Needed
19
TI is publishing the OPA891 model only for their TINA program. I understand there is a procedure to extract the TINA model information and make a LTSpice-compatible model. I also understand that the TINA model uses non-standard pin order to assign nodes to its opamp symbol so that needs to be fixed. I struggle to install a new spice model into my installation, mainly because I do it very seldom and forget how to do it when I need to do it again. Has someone already come up with a working LTSpice model of the 0PA891 that I can install in my system? Thanks!

LMH6321 Buffer Not Working
5
TI supplies a seemingly straightforward spice model for its LMH6321 Unity Gain Buffer. It requires a modified opamp symbol with only 4 nodes, (IN V+ V- OUT). I edited a standard opamp symbol to have only the 4 nodes and get the resulting error message: "Fatal Error: Port(pin) count mismatch between the definition of subcircuit "lmh6321" and instance: "xu1" The instance has more connection terminals than the definition." I count only 4 pins on the model and 4 pins on my symbol. Can you see what I am doing wrong? I will upload my files to temp. Thanks, Steve Hogan

Placing a Symbol and its .cir "Manually" into a schematic
6
Long explanation below, but here’s what I am trying to do: In a local folder where all my personal LTspice projects and libs reside, I have Potmet.asy Potmet.cir As below, I cannot access those from within LTspice where I’m editing a model. I can add .include Potme.cir without errors, but how can I insert Potmet.asy, since I can’t pull it up under F2? Within the last few days, I have “lost” access to my local \Documents\LTspiceXVII subfolders. This appears to be due to the Company migrating users to OneDrive, with some possible (temporary?) sync errors. From windows explorer, I have \Documents\LTspiceXVII\MySymbols, but that folder and apparently none of the others appear in OneDrive. In LTspice Tools > sym & lib search paths, I only have “.” and “C:\Users\dbell5\Documents\LTSpice\LTspiceXVII” When I try to add C:\Users\dbell5\Documents\LTSpice\LTspiceXVII\MySymbols it throws an error, saying that path does not exist. Adding it anyway, or NOT, when I go to F2 and pull down the search paths, the added paths are missing. Dave

MacOS directive .func does not work
9
I have circuit which uses: .func myf(nom, tol) (nom+nom*(gauss(tol/5)) and a resistor which has a value {myf(400,0.1)} Besides these two I have a voltage source and I can simulate this circuit on a PC. However, on MacOS it holds simulation with: Missing model definition for MYF. On both computers I am using the latest version of LTspice. Is this a known bug?
