Matrox Monarch - control via Crestron?
4
Have several of these units that will no longer communicate with the Crestron modules supplied by Matrox (version 1). Can get into the device menus but did not find any options to specifically allow external control. Device firmware version: 1.1.8.0020 Any ideas of how to make this work? not sure what the module would send if it did connect. So far, trying to decipher protocol via their document so I can send via Hercules client. No luck so far. The syntax required for authentication seems to be the issue. If I send the following, I get the reply below it via Hercules client. // sent GET /Monarch/syncconnect/sdk.aspx?command=GetStatus<LF><CR> // received GET /Monarch/syncconnect/sdk.aspx?command=GetStatus <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> <html><head> <title>401 Authorization Required</title> </head><body> <h1>Authorization Required</h1> <p>This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.</p> </body></html>

DMC XX -DSP - No Down Mix of 24bit Audio
Hi, Before I open a ticket with Crestron, I want to see if I am missing something. I have discovered that NONE of the -DSP cards, HD, 4K, 4KZ will down mix any LPCM multichannel with 24bit stream. 16 bit works fine***, but as soon as the format is changed to 24bit LPCM, only Left/Right channels ever come out of the analog outs. And DM tool will actually erroneously report that source is 2 channel (reports 6 ch if 16bit stream). Same signal can be routed to HDMI destination (AVR), and DM reports the audio is 6 channel on the output side. Firmware, settings, restore - spent entire weekend messing with this and the 3 generation of DSP cards. Not seeing anything in the spec sheet that mentions this limitation. Any tips appreciated. ***Additional issue I discovered, with 5.1 LPCM at 16bit/44.1khz from Windows PC, the subwoofer channel is missing the the stereo down-mix. I have to do further testing to verify this.

Crestron DIN DALI-2 control with Tridonic DALI MSensor 02
6
Hello, I am trying to repair a lighting system at a hospital and they have Tridonic DALI MSensor 02 motion sensors in the DALI loop connected to the Crestron DIN-DALI 2. I have not ever needed to make use of motion sensors on a Crestron system that wasn't a Crestron sensor. Does anyone perhaps have any insight into how I might be able to read the motion trigger on my processor? We have a CP3N in place and so far the only thing that seems to look like it may work is the Three-Byte Command in SIMPL on the DIN-DALI-2 Loop modules, but I do not know how to read the information from the sensor. Regards,

CHV-TSTATRF not showing up on touchscreens
Hi all, I have a strange problem with one CHV-TSTATRF not reporting to any touchscreens. It had been working fine until I had the replace the batteries. There are four TSTATS in the system and the other three are working fine but for some reason this one stopped reporting back to the program and touchscreens after I changed the batteries. It shows up in the MNET gateway and I even tried reaquiring it but that didn’t fix the problem. Anyone have thoughts on what the problem could be?

Best 32" TV for control integration
6
Hi Group, What is the best 32" TV for control integration currently? I have to replace a couple of 14 year old LG units that were on serial control. Last time I replaced a 32" it was with a Sony which I could mostly control via CEC but not fully - I could turn it off and had menu/cursor controls, but could only turn it on via IR, WOL didn't seem to work either. This system has a V1 DM video switcher in it with the old 3-cable receivers (2x Cat6 and a DM-Net) which has gone faulty. Although I'm quoting for it I'm not sure the client has the budget to replace it with current DM/NVX and may not use the TVs as video endpoints, just local displays with cable boxes behind, in which case I probably wont be able to use CEC anyway and will need either serial control or IR control but with discrete input and power commands. I'm stuck with the 32" format as its on a TV lift built into a custom bed head cabinet, and I cant re-engineer this to take something bigger. Oh and it needs to be available in the UK!

Crestron CP4 and Lutron Athena through RS-232
9
Hello Group, We were usually installing Lutron Grafic Eye with a Lutron QSE-CI-NWK-E RS-232 to interface with our Crestron processor and we were using the "DEVICE" command to mimic presses and releases of button from keypad or phantom keypad programmed in the Lutron system. That way, whatever changes in the Lutron programming in terms of scenes does not affect the Crestron programming. We now install Lutron Athena (fro lighting and shades control) with a Lutron QSE-CI-NWK-E RS-232 interface. As written in the "Lutron integration protocol revision AH" from May 2022, the "DEVICE" command still exist and should work with Athena. Our Lutron installer provide us the "Lutron Integration Report" were I could found "ID" (note specifically Integration ID as written in the protocol document, but seems to be the same) and other "href" (ex: /device/6160) and "Component href" (ex: button/6181). The device command needs an "Integration ID", a "Component Number" an "Action Number" and a "Parameter". In the case of a press ar release action, parameter is not needed. I did try several string with href and Component href without succes, I always receive an "Error, 2" (object does not exist). For example, I try to mimic a press and release of the first button of a phantom keypad Phantom keypad ID = 90, href = /device/6170, button #1 Component href = button/6339. Here are several unsuccessful try: #DEVICE,63,39,3\x0D\x0A#DEVICE,63,39,4\x0D\x0A #DEVICE,90,39,3\x0D\x0A#DEVICE,90,39,4\x0D\x0A #DEVICE,90,63,3\x0D\x0A#DEVICE,90,63,4\x0D\x0A #DEVICE,90,6339,3\x0D\x0A#DEVICE,90,6339,4\x0D\x0A #DEVICE,70,39,3\x0D\x0A#DEVICE,70,39,4\x0D\x0A Any help will be appreciated. Also, we have several shades that we want to open and close through Crestron. The "SHADEGRP" command is working but the shade themselves are not grouped, meaning I have to send several close command but the shades does not start at the same time, then issuing a stop command and we have stair shape of shades... Any way the Lutron programmer could make grouping of several shade? Thanks.

BSS Gain Timed Block Control
2
Hello All, Have a very quick turn around project controlling a BSS Blu-100 for the first time in a while. I have all the DSP programmed, but wondering how to control the fade buttons in a Gain Timed Block. I am using module V1.4. I am thinking I might be able to trigger these off presets if need be, there is only 1 I need to control. I found an old reference from a thread about 13 years ago, but wondering if there is anything available with the current set of modules. Thanks in advance

CEN-IO-DIGIN-104 with dry contacts
2
Do the inputs on this device require some sort of voltage? I can't seem to get a dry contact to register in SIMPL when physically shorting a wire across any input and the ground. Maybe I assumed these were the same as the verisports on processors?

eDidio DMX Controller TLS Communication
3
I need to send HEX commands to an eDidio DMX controller. The eDidio DMX controller uses TLS. Can I do this with a TCP or UDP client in SIMPL Windows? I've already tried both, using ports 443 as well as 23, tried \0D delimiter, etc. but no success. I see a TCP Connected FB when using port 443. The eDidio DMX controller responds without issue from its own "Configurator" PC software (sending the raw string(s) as well as its own Spektra app, so I know strings/commands/DMX controller all working. An example string which starts "Sequence 2" (I've tried all the variations): Native: cd,00,0e,aa,01,0b,0a,09,08,0c,10,ff,01,18,01,20,01 Other variations: \xCD\x00\x0e\xaa\x01\x0b\x0A\x09\x08\x0C\x10\xff\x01\x18\x01\x20\x01 \xCD\x00\x0e\xaa\x01\x0b\x0A\x09\x08\x0C\x10\xff\x01\x18\x01\x20\x01\x0D 0xcd,0x00,0x0e,0xaa,0x01,0x0b,0x0a,0x09,0x08,0x0c,0x10,0xff,0x01,0x18,0x01,0x20,0x01 0xcd,0x00,0x0e,0xaa,0x01,0x0b,0x0a,0x09,0x08,0x0c,0x10,0xff,0x01,0x18,0x01,0x20,0x01,0x0D Any help appreciated.

VC-4 Tokens on Oracle Virtual Box VM's are behaving oddly
3
I've noticed that Tokens created on VC-4 installs on Oracle Virtual Box VM's will not display. Instead I get a list of "Key133333333333333333333, Key2,Key3,Key4,Key5,Key6". If I create a new token, it doesn't show up in the list. If I try to delete one of the "Key" tokens, I get a message that the token can't be found. Does anyone have a resolution for this? Not being able to access the tokens makes it nearly impossible to use debugging or HTML5 web xpanels.

Thoughts on the IV-SAM-VX2-P?
8
A proverbial penny for your thoughts on the automate VX solution/server as named in the subject. Has anyone deployed it, and how would you rate its' overrall success? Does it deliver? I'd like to hear about your experiences, reliability, possible pitfalls/issues/bugs etc. etc. The customer is quite insistent we offer them the VX2 server paired with a Shure MXA 920 and multiple IV-CAM-P20-B cameras. They also demand we provide 3-year support package for the whole shebang (yes that means either buying the support services contract from Crestron or getting certified ourselves). That said, I haven't completed the IVC courses yet, but am planning to do so in the near future.

viewsonicLDM 136-151 display serial control

I'm trying to control viewsonic LDM136-151 display via rs-232 from crestron CP4N but have had no luck. The commands are correct and verified. What am I missing? Is there any setting on display that need to be turned on? I have controlled numerous viewsonic display with the viewsonic rs-232 driver baked in the database.
