ADOPTED - DA VINCI - 10YO F3 NEUTERED MALE - NORFOLK, VA
ADOPTED - DA VINCI - 10YO F3 NEUTERED MALE - NORFOLK, VA DA VINCI'S FOSTER ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DECIDED TO MAKE THIS PERMANENT!! Our hearts hurt for Da Vinci. Da Vinci is a 10 year old F3 neutered male that apparently came from Select Exotics with the eye missing (assumed from the price on the contract as Select Exotics has not responded to us). Da Vinci lived 10 happy years as an only pet when his owner died. The daughter took Da Vinci in, but after a few months when the existing cat and him were not getting along, he was taken to the shelter. He is not doing well in such an environment, it must be a huge shock to him. We need an immediate foster able to pick Da Vinci up from the shelter in Norfolk, VA soon. We would prefer a home that would want to foster-to-adopt but we just need him out, so if you have a separate room for Da Vinci to destress in, that would be great. Any home that fostered him, if he worked out then adoption would be possible. Please email us at info@... if you can help...let us know if you wish to foster only or foster-to-adopt. Give us some basic information (your location, your household, details of the room available) so we can work out if this is an option for Da Vinci. Alternatively, if anyone is available to drive Da Vinci to a foster in Charlottesville, VA... we have an experienced foster able to help him also. 0 People reached 0 Engagements – Distribution score Boost post Like Comment Share

For Foster or Foster to Adopt Pretty F4 female savannah in Franklin Ohio
"Belle" is seeking a home in Franklin Ohio area ( or within reasonable driving distance) This sweet mom cat has been living feral and is afraid of almost everything at this point. She has been taken off the street to keep her safe but the foster cannot keep her. We estimate her to be about 2-3 years old and rumor has it that she is an F4 savannah. She is likely pregnant ! She will need a foster home that is willing to take her for veterinary care, raise her litter of upcoming kittens until they can be adopted, get her spayed and work on her regaining trust in people again. She currently has a litter of kittens that are not available for adoption yet and now already another litter on the way. She will need premium nutrition and a quiet safe place to have her babies. Savannah rescue pays for any vet fees incurred with our 'foster" cats. The ideal home will be quiet and stable with not a crazy amount of noise or activity. Young active children or a lot of other pets will not be ideal in this case. The ideal home would also be interested in adopting her once she is spayed. ( We do not adopt out unspayed cats) She will need a room or area that can be hers alone for at least a couple of weeks until she is feeling comfortable in her new place. Please write Teresa at info@..., put her name in the subject line, and tell us where you are located, and why your home would be suitable for Belle 0 People reached 0 Engagements – Distribution score Boost post Like Comment Share

ADOPTED - 4 YO NEUTERED F5 SAVANNAH - MIDDLESEX COUNTY, MASSACHUSETTS
ADOPTED - Cosmo (formerly Mewtwo) is an amazing F5 savannah, originally from Tammie Jones of Spotted Oaks Cattery. He was sold to a pet store, that in turn, sold him to an owner in NYC, where he was illegal to own. The breeder has taken no responsibility for any of her actions, will not take him back and has not contributed in any way to his care. Cosmo was born with a soft cleft palate and knowingly sold to his past owner with this condition. She surrendered him to SV Rescue because she could not afford his vet bills nor the surgery to repair his palate. Cosmo has been in a foster home and is ready to be adopted! He had cleft palate surgery in February of this year, which SV Rescue paid for, and is doing fairly well. He has a residual issue of sneezing, which is much better when a humidifier is used. He will need a humidifier for life! Cosmo is a playful, loving savannah cat, who gets along with dogs and perhaps one other cat. The cats in his foster home don't care for his playful attitude, so a younger cat would likely be ok for him. He uses his Litterbox faithfully. Cosmo will need a spare room to have time to acclimate to his new people and surroundings. Adoption fee is $150 If you would like to give this boy a loving home and can commit to him for life, please email info@... - please describe your home and family as well as any pets you have.

ADOPTED IN SEATTLE AREA - SEVEN YO F2 NEUTERED MALE
ADOPTED! We have an F2 male near Seattle, Washington, in urgent need of a foster! This guy has had a very rough life and needs a lot of patience, time, love and person experienced with F1 or F2 savannah experience. He has had several homes through no fault of his own and was once sweet and trusting. Unfortunately, his breeder, Lequoioa Savannahs, cannot take him back, since he cannot be flown from WA to Mississippi. Lequioa Savannahs did not keep up with his numerous homes and had no idea he was abandoned more than once. He is very difficult to handle at this point because he is petrified. Annakin was dropped off by a person unable to communicate, to a rescue and is very unhappy at his situation. He can be petted, but runs back into his crate the minute he is approached. He hisses at his current caregiver, but F2s often hiss as a means of communication. We just need to get him out of this rescue! He needs quiet and someone with the time and experience to allow him to trust again. Foster must have a room where Annakin can just be - for an extended period of time. Perhaps one other cat, but we prefer no pets or children. No shipping - please do not ask. If you have experience and are willing to give this boy a chance, please email info@...

NO LONGER AVAILABLE - F1 MALE - BOCEPHUS - AURORA, IL
NO LONGER AVAILABLE - F1 MALE - BOCEPHUS - AURORA, IL SOMETIMES SURRENDERING OWNERS CHANGE THEIR MINDS, WE HAVE FAILED TO GET A RESPONSE FROM BO'S OWNER SO HOPE THAT ALL IS WELL WITH THEM. Bocephus is a 7 year old neutered, declawed (please no comments about the declawing) male F1 Savannah. His backstory is a little confusing. He was reportedly purchased at 2 years of age from the breeder who was located in Texas. He was already neutered and declawed. He is reported to have been strongly bonded to the adult son, so when the father moved out Bo stayed with the son. Bo has a medium haired female cat friend in the house and they are said to get along great. However, the owner allows that cat to go in and out, while Bo has been indoor only. The owner reports that Bo has been peeing on the couch and bed. While we have spent a couple weeks offering advice, I am not certain that enough has been really done and the behavior has frustrated the owner to the point of surrender. I suspect the owner is working long enough hours that the amount of time required to clean effectively and work on the issue seems insurmountable to him. I believe that the issues are most likely resolvable with some changes. I also wonder if a vet visit might clear up any potential paw pain issues. Bocephus is reported to be very sociable, playful and loving to family, friendly to visitors although initially shy. He's said to be good with older children, probably ones that are good playing with cat toys! He is said to have batted around small dogs, so we would not suggest that. Currently he lives with a spayed female cat so we think that could work. I would not suggest introducing Bo to an large cat household. He definitely would need a separate space with the ability to introduce slowly and thoughtfully. A catio or enclosure might be an added bonus! We would want a new home to be able to convince us that they understand the challenges of a rehomed adult F1 Savannah. They don't just look cool. This is non-negotiable. If nothing else, please explain your commitment to what you perceive is required to live with an F1 Savannah. We also wish to hear how you would address his peeing issues, we cannot discern if it is an anxiety or a territorial marking issue or a pain issue from his paws. Bocephus will be available for an adoption fee of $200, if you think you are up for this challenge please email info@... and tell us your location and about your household and why you would be great for Bo, including how you would address his needs.

ADOPTED - F1 - CHANEEKA - LOS ANGELES, CA
CHANEEKA'S FOSTER WAS A FOSTER FAIL, AS SO OFTEN HAPPENS!! ADOPTED - F1 - CHANEEKA - LOS ANGELES, CA Chaneeka is a gorgeous 10 year old spayed F1 female who needs a very patient and understanding home. Above all, she needs someone to commit to her for years no matter what. Chaneeka was bred by the now-defunct Savannahcatland (who have said that they are not in a position to take her back) in IN, and for 8 years was kept as first breeding cat then pet by Lequoia Savannahs in MS. She was then sold as pet to her current owner in Los Angeles, CA. He reports that after two years Chaneeka still hasn't come around and he has given up on that and wishes to rehome her. Lequoia Savannahs is not taking her back either, so it is up to Savannah Cat Rescue to find her a new home. It's important that a new home understand that an older adult F1 is a long term project in many cases. It's important that the new home understands the significant behavioral differences between an F1 and other generations of Savannahs. It can indeed take years for an F1 to decide you are their human. Chaneeka does play with a wand toy, she is faithful with her litterbox and is not reported to be destructive. She has not been to a vet in the past 2 years but appears healthy to the owner. Lequoia Savannahs reported that she was social (a little dominant) with other cats and tolerant of her dog. We would not suggest Chaneeka for a home with a lot of other cats, she might be good with a tolerant male cat, and with an ability to manage a very slow understanding introductory process. She has never been around children and would not be good in a home with anything but older children (12 year old+). Lequoia believes she needs a home with a woman and that lays at the crux of the issue, the current owner is a male and she had lived her life with a single woman before then. If you think that you are ready for the commitment of this special cat, and your home fits the criteria, please email info@... with your location and a description of your home and why it would be great for Chaneeka. Shipping would be impossible as the owner can barely manage to get her into a crate and cannot get to a vet for the necessary health certificate. She also is not a candidate to use a pet transporter who flies the cat in cabin, nor if you were willing to fly to bring back in cabin. She needs someone to be able to drive to pick her up. Thank you for understanding that! Her adoption fee will be $200.

****Thor is in a foster home!
In a foster home! ***Prosper (Dallas area), Texas Thor is an absolutely gorgeous and long legged, highly intelligent and full of personality Savannah boy looking for a foster or adoptive home! *Foster homes have the first chance to adopt a Savannah being fostered for our Rescue Thor is located in the Dallas, Texas area and must go to a home outside of Dallas to an area where Savannahs are allowed to be owned (with a permit as required by the state of Texas)...or to another state with his new home willing to drive. https://www.hybridlaw.com/texas/ ( https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.hybridlaw.com%2Ftexas%2F%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR2bsL0r3IdC69UtDa1lKK5QL8TdUFahKBp40TD_CsHpgHP-U4wzAKsZdgw&h=AT0WJ5FQde7XnFUu6z5SvLNv2UKBn1Wua55u4ikXwWRCwBlRnZCbBcIOB7gFr8dfNWk9s0i-RhPB0K1xWuJnXMSV2xfIiqjw-6NjlVCckT0PtVFKRXzCc1Cx76m_p9ZYDHWQ4Z-aLSw1fKBfqA&__tn__=-UK-R&c[0]=AT1Y4yJ8aV9LAHHZP_szc_GLDcXzzZqH-81R9ZR5UrxLtNmEmT8aMni44ytc8xJkm_zEuWqrSZWYvPrDq8gWJJGznX0DDDL2RN-USsOk8ZKqo2PxExvg5O9dG5rveRA3L9qjV1zyM7hbQlAayUgvWPcqx_8F9RJ_kZbKsQ6LeHTl4o2A-l2nqmCokq15rRheKcKzfGM ) Thor is 9 years young. He's neutered, healthy, microchipped and has no litter box or dietary issues. He's an F7. We don't know how much he weighs or how tall he is. Thor is in need of a home that can give him lots of attention, playtime and love. He's shy initially with new people, but warms up quickly. Thor is very affectionate and will snuggle and sleep with his humans all night long. He's a kitty who loves to lie in your lap while you watch TV. He's very playful, energetic, likes to jump and climb and would benefit from an outdoor, cat-escape-proof enclosure or catio. A new home must be aware Thor may try to run out an open door given the opportunity. Thor is also a talker Like many cats of all ages, breeds and mixes, Thor does best with routine and stability. He does not like to be left alone for long periods of time. He's worn a harness and leash in the past for time outside. Thor has never lived with other cats or dogs. We 'may' consider a home with another energetic cat or older kitten as a buddy for Thor, or possibly a home with a laid-back and cat-friendly dog. In either case, long, slow and proper introductions to Thor's new home, people and another pet must be followed for best results. Thor should be fine with a teen or child older than 10 years of age who is respectful of a cat's personality requirements. Thor's adoption fee is $200. We will not consider shipping for him. If you are the right home for this very handsome and personable boy, and you live in an area of Texas where Savannahs are legal to own with a permit as required by the state of Texas (or in another state and willing to drive) please send a detailed email describing you and your home to: info@...

NO LONGER AVAILABLE - 11 YO F3 MALE - ZIGGY - LOS ANGELES, CA
NO LONGER AVAILABLE - 11 YO F3 MALE - ZIGGY - LOS ANGELES, CA DESPITE SIGNING SURRENDER PAPERWORK, ZIGGY'S OWNER HAS DECIDED TO CHOOSE ZIGGY'S HOME HIMSELF. Ziggy is a neutered 11 year old F3 Savannah male from the defunct African Veldt Savannah cattery (yeah I know we are seeing a lot of older Savannahs in Rescue, comments about that are just not helpful, thanks!). Ziggy is a loving, friendly Savannah male. Right up until a few years ago, there were absolutely no issue, then they got another cat. Although they seemingly were buddies playing and wrestling this initiated a marking issue with recliners that the owners have not been able to resolve. They are convinced that it is the new cat and so are looking for a new home for Ziggy. They believe he needs an only cat home. Ziggy has done great with older children, he has ignored dogs. Given his age, I'd probably suggest no homes with young children, they are just a lot of energy and disruption and this might lead to marking behavior also. Ziggy has had a recent health check and was put on a low ash prescription diet. He was found to be in perfect health. If you think Ziggy would be great in your home, please email info@... with your location and a description of your household and why it would fit Ziggy perfectly. His adoption fee is $200. Please don't ask us to ship this guy, we would highly prefer a home that can pick up in person.

Vita May - 3 year old F6 looking for a home in Fayetteville, NC
Vita May was originally surrendered to Savannah Cat Rescue due to the owner moving and they were unable to take Vita with them. We were told the cat occasionally urinates outside of the box. The new home found that she was urinating outside the box quite often. We had Vita May thoroughly health checked (no UTI, had her declawed paws X-rayed) and the vet feels it is behavioral/anxiety. She was put on medication and it helped immensely! She is doing great on the medicine and will need to continue with the medicine in her new forever home. Vita needs a quieter home. She would do best with 1 dog. Children over 10 would be ok. She bonds strongly with the main provider. Vita is very shy and will need someone who is patient! Requirements: A room to quarantine Vita May, ability to give a cat medication is required and within driving distance! If you are interested in adopting Vita, reply directly or email info@.... Adoption fee: $200; No shipping.

ADOPTED - CANADA ONLY - F3 STELLA AND HER SEVEN MALE KITTENS
ADOPTED - STELLA AND HER 7 DWARVES WERE ALL PLACED IN GREAT HOMES! CANADA: Savannah Cat Rescue is seeking foster and adoptive homes (within Canada ONLY! Please don't ask us to export any of them to the US) for a mom savannah(F3) and her rainbow litter of 7 kittens(F4) ! They have been lovingly nicknamed "Stella and her 7 dwarfs". All the kittens are males and will be neutered and vaccinated before adoption. Stella will also be spayed and up to date on her vaccines before being adopted. They are currently located in Saskatchewan Canada and due to regulations for that province they need to be moved to a legal Province in February. FOR IMMEDIATE FOSTER - 10 YEARS YOUNG SBT FEMALE - Spayed in Tarrant County, Texas
Ponca is a 10 yo SBT spayed female from the now defunct A1 Savannahs. She is said to be a loving, sweet girl - her owner can no longer afford her care. She loves to be petted, to cuddle with her owner and loves attention. She willingly goes into her crate and comes when called. Ponca is four paw declawed. She is very thin due to what we think is an inappropriate diet of salmon. She is thought by her owner to have IBD, but her inappropriate diet and abrupt diet change when her owner got Ponca back from her ex-husband, likely contributed to GI issues. We suggested the owner try a limited ingredient diet and that seems to be working. She is also said to have a mild heart murmur, but we don't know if this is a result of vet anxiety or a true murmur. She was living with the owner's ex-husband up until February 2021. A new puppy, home, diet have all contributed to Ponca having a bit of anxiety...she will urinate inappropriately after the puppy bothers her. We think that will stop once she is away from the puppy. Also a change of litter to Dr. Elsey's Kitten Attract, which is a soft litter and great for declawed cats will help. Ponca is so hungry, that she is stealing food from wherever she can get it, so we need to get her out of this situation quickly. We are looking for a foster home to care for Ponca, evaluate her and get her the care she needs. SV Rescue will be responsible for her bills while she is being fostered. We prefer a foster with intent to adopt, but just a foster is fine as well. She will need a home outside of Texas - she is currently in an illegal county. If you are interested in helping this senior girl, please email info@... and tell us about yourself, your home, living situation.

Available Lovely Blue Savannah Male currently in Lodi California
Pensy is a rare BLUE male savannah cat about 5 years old. He is currently in the Lodi California area. We are not sure of his generation but perhaps F4/F5 ? He has been through 3 homes and was found wandering in a seniors home area after being lost for several months. His original owner said he would get out of the house and be gone for up to 3 months at a time. He was surrendered to rescue and now he has been in a skilled foster home being evaluated for several months. He is now ready for his new forever home ! He is a friendly boy that shows interest in house visitors and older children. The foster would have liked to have kept him but he is not getting along with one of their resident cats and is urinating outside of the box, probably due to this strife between him and the other male cat in the house. Some of his inability to get along with this male cat may stem from living on the street and having to fend for himself before we got him. The foster mom describes him as a sweet boy that is not timid of people in the home or even the vacuum. He is a big "chill" boy. He likes to be around you but not carried around by you. Pretty typical for many savannahs. He does not want to be smothered. If you lean into him he will give your nose gentle love bites and then lick you. He loves to play with fishing rod type of toys and can jump very high in pursuit of the feathers. He is not big on toys that are inanimate and would prefer to have a human at the other end making them ALIVE ! or batteries ! Like a typical savannah he will drink water from faucets, tub or sink. not fussy. He loves to spend time looking out the window and watching activities around him. When he goes to a new home he will need to be quarantined on his own in a spare bedroom or bathroom, and time taken to evaluate his litter box usage before letting him loose in your home. We would recommend this happen very slowly. This habit needs to be broken in a smaller space and then he can graduate to a larger space once the habit is stopped and he can be trusted. He obviously has some anxiety even though he presents as mr. chill. So he will need to be monitored closely in his new home for several weeks. He has been vet checked and initially had a bladder infection which may also have contributed to him starting this habit. But that is fixed now and except for the ongoing drama with him and the other cat he seems to be happy enough. The new owner will have to be vigilant about keeping laundry off the floor, keeping him away from wet towels, plastic bags, anything that would be considered a 'trigger' for marking. We would consider a home with a mellow companion cat. He currently lives with cats, but there is one he doesn't get along with and it may be the strife between the two of them that is causing the urine marking. He seems to be fine with the female cat but the more dominant male and himself refuse to play nice. He is a big boy and can be rough when playing so the companion cat would have to be able to hold his own and not get frightened or overreact to rough play. He likes to stalk other cats and POUNCE. So another cat that is used to this type of play would be perfect. We do not know if Pensy has been exposed to dogs, but again, same as with a companion cat, any companion dog would have to be mellow and non threatening. (ie wanting to play rough or barking too much ) His current diet is Purina Pro plan urinary diet, some savory morsels wet food and some treats. he also eats hills prescription diet and royal canin veterinary diet urinary tract. health. both wet and dry. He does not have a problem with urinary tract issues but he is a male so the foster was just trying to prevent any possible problems in the future by keeping him on a good quality diet. He is a typical mischievous savannah and has been trying to 'liberate' the fish at the foster home. So if you have any small pets they will need to be securely housed. He would be best in a home with no children or older children as he does like to love bite and will bat at you to play or give him attention. This i

ADOPTED - SMEE - SAVANNAH MIX KITTEN - PORT ALLEN, LA
*ADOPTED* - SMEE - SAVANNAH MIX KITTEN - PORT ALLEN, LA Smee got all dressed up for the New Year with no place to go.... surprisingly, Smee is the last of the Port Allen kittens to find his forever home! Smee is a purry loving personable 4 month old kitten that was dumped at a shelter along with his two littermates, after his older six siblings were dumped at the same shelter. All we were told is that dad was a Savannah. The same amazing foster took the babies in (so a total of ten kittens!). Being such young kittens, they adapted fast. Smee like his sisters is known for moving so fast picture taking is difficult (something all Savannah breeders can sympathize with), but purring all the time and wanting love and play in equal measures. Smee is vaccinated and neutered and more than ready for his new home. Being a kitten, Smee just needs a great home, he doesn't have any special requirements...he would do fine in a home with children, cats, dogs... of course with the proper introduction that any new pet needs in a new home. Pickup in person is required, if you think your home is right for Smee, please email info@... with your location and a description of your household so that we can start the process. His adoption fee is $200.

ADOPTED - 15 WEEK OLD SAVANNAH MIX KITTENS - PORT ALLEN, LA
*ADOPTED* - 15 WEEK OLD SAVANNAH MIX KITTENS - PORT ALLEN, LA Right after our wonderful foster picked up the six older kittens from the shelter, they called because the deadbeat BYB (backyard breeder) had dropped off four more kittens, younger than the others so likely their siblings. These babies were estimated to be ~14 weeks last week during their spay/neuters by the vet. They are all very sweet, social and playful adorable babies. Smee is a neutered male, Tinkerbell and Wendy are the spayed females. Tinkerbell got her name because of her playful energy flitting about the place. Due to their young age, they are suitable for practically any good pet home. But please, don't tell us you want a kitten for Christmas, these are going to be your companions for years and we want you to think of that commitment. Smee, Tinkerbell and Wendy are each available for an adoption fee of $200. If you would like to offer one or more a home please email info@.... We want to know your location (we are not going to ship these sweet babies), a little about your household and which kitten would be your preference.
