This week's update includes a variety of fine designs with many different themes. Our large Lace collection has been expanded with several nautically-themed designs. This includes the majestic Frigate Lace and Tropical Fish Sets I and II. There are several fabulous new Floral designs this week: a collection of Pansy-themed designs, Anemones in a Cup that will look great in your kitchen and a stunning Rose in Oval Frame, which complements our series of flowers in oval frames. By popular request we have digitized two graphical works: the Vitruvian Man by Leonardo Da Vinci and the Praying Hands by Albrecht Durer. We have enlarged our collection of Famous People with Dean Martin, Paul Newman, Richard Burton, Rod Stewart, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin and Jane Austen. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Charlie received over 200 get well wishes from the wonderful embroiderers on the lists. He was so touched by the outpouring of messages. They helped him through a difficult time. Charlie is out of the hospital now, the last time I wrote he was going in for one more surgery. The second time did the trick, he was feeling much better and was able to go home. After being gone for 2 months, he is back at work about 2 hours a day! At 76 yrs. of age he is talking about "taking some time off to do some things." (big grin) Pete and Alice Moore have started plans to build at a new location down the street. Something I told a fairly new embroiderer a few weeks ago was "it is only thread and only fabric, so enjoy it. Start out doing designs on some old clothing that you would not be sad if things did not go well." I would like to do applique designs on polar fleece blankets using ultra suede as the applique fabric. Has anyone done this? If you have, please advise on stabilizers, needles, toppings, etc. Thanks for any help. Shirley

Miems, sending you big hugs! I consider that all is forgiven and that we just really need to think about what we say to people, I have very wide shoulders but there are very sensitive people given to us as a reminder from God that we need to be soft in our tongue.....Helping is one thing but if you find that you are frustrated because your helping is not getting thru, sit back, relax, close your eyes and think about where you were in a time of your life when you needed help, think about how you would have felt, if you had been hurt by someone who gave up on you. Miems, I have been a lurker for a while here, but I came forward just recently because I saw that you needed some help with getting your designs out....I think that those who left are also taking a deep breath, relaxing and will return...they love you Miems....and they will be back...
