I'm guessing you are connecting to the Marantz and staying connected. For some reason if you are connected to the Marantz when Crestron reboots, Crestron can not reestablish the connection until the state of the Marantz changes. I'm guessing at this point is when the Marantz realizes the connection is no longer active and closes it.
What I have done in the past is, just after program start I send the http commands to power it on and then back off. It also helps a lot if you only have the Marantz connection connected when it is in use. |
I have a problem with the ip control of the Marantz with any crestron processor I use. I am using the module for control via serial command via IP and every now and then (I have not been able to understand how often), the Marantz decide to disconnect from Crestron. The Marantz seem to be configured correctly. Do you know by chance how to solve the problem or if something similar has happened to you? Thanks |
Re: Ring doorbell ???
I haven't used any ring devices. However, if the Ring doorbell is capable of creating events (i.e. motion detected, doorbell pressed, etc.) within the Amazon Alexa ecosystem, then you should be able to trigger routines with these events. Then, in a routine, you can turn on a light that is defined in the Crestron voice modules and from that trigger code on a Crestron processor. Since Ring is already working with cloud services, to send notifications to your smart phone, etc., there really isn't any downside to leveraging Alexa routines. to help you integrate with your Crestron processor. Hope this helps Jay On 12/27/2024 9:59 AM, chad via

Re: Shure MXA910 protocol details
Neil, Thank you so much for your work on the module. I agree with everyone that a simple SIO does handle this unit very well. However, its always nice to have a pre-built module for the smaller off the shelf type jobs. Your module seems to have some funny signals, ie Connect, connect-f, but it was a great starting point to work with! |
Ring doorbell ???
My wife has been wonking about these for a couple of months so I grabbed one to play with. I haven't installed it yet, but wondering IF.
If your system is running on ipads running the creston app and someone rings the doorbell, will the ring app show through while the crestron app is running? And if so, is it worth the effort to try and integrate it??
We just got home from picking up Chinese food and plastered on the tv was someone being arrested for stealing a package off a doorstep, identified by footage from a Ring doorbell.

Re: DM-NVX to NAX Router Interface v1.0
I have that part down, just trying to get nvx encoder sound to the nax easily, I have done it by sending serial strings, just wondering if this made it less programming

If I recall the analog value references the specific encoder I had listed within the subscription list created in the web interface

Re: DTMF generation during intercom on panels XX70
We do loads of Home w 2n and far and away the most efficient way to go about it is the LCUK module, works great using quick actions to control any 2n switch, full feedback, no need for DTMF stuff.
Of course, if not 2n, or your required DTMF tones change, that's a whole other challenge... I don't believe DTMF control is exposed in CH and likely won't be anytime soon. |
Re: DTMF generation during intercom on panels XX70
Hi Tony:
Yes, I saw this message: https://groups.io/g/crestron/message/250514 but I don't know how to create a quick acion so it can send such DTMF.
Thank you,
Carlos. |
